Red hot at the Golden Globes

Awards season makes for a nice distraction this time of year. My favorites of last night's fashion focused on beautiful blushes and sultry reds.

 Here are my picks for the best:

Winner Jennifer Lawrence sported a fun coral-red Dior gown.



My favorite actress Marion Cotillard, also in Dior, went for a siren orange/red asymmetrical hem.

Naomi Watts kept warm in this simple, classic burgundy dress.




Winner Claire Danes rocked this red hot wrap just months after giving birth.




And Zoe Deschanel sizzled in this taffeta gown that I heard some critics called "wrinkly." I thought it was fabulous.

Look in my closet, and you'll find a see of black. This fall, I'm looking for a new neutral, and navy seems like the perfect choice. Here are some fantastic navy looks with great color combinations.

FiveThingsFriday: Scarf envy

For anyone who knows me, I love a good scarf.



This month, I led an office scarf war for wearing my favorite accessory almost everyday.



And despite a closet full of dozens of different wraps in various colors and patterns, I still get a strong feeling of scarf envy on a fairly often basis.
