FridayInFargo: Design*Sponge does Fargo

This post this week from Design*Sponge really had me cracking up. Here in Fargo, the movie does seem to play a big part of our cultural identity. The first Fargo-brewed beer is called Woodchipper, the movie is played each winter to kick of the Fargo Film Festival and everyone will scoff at a visitor's mention that the movie was made here. "Pfff. No it's based in Brainerd and was filmed up by Grand Forks."

So here's how to get your Fargo on: (Thanks to my friend Britta for posting this on Pinterest)

TriviaTuesday: Movie edition

Today's trivia comes to us via the movie "Fargo," named after my hometown but set someplace a few hours east.

True or false: At the beginning of the film, the screen flashes "This is a true story." Is it?

If you are a follower of my blog and answer the question correctly, I will design you a free blog button. Let the games begin.

Top Ten Tuesday: Holiday movies

There's something about this time of year. I love nothing better than turning up the heat, grabbing my cozy candy cane socks and drinking some coffee while I knit and watch a movie I've seen way too many times.

I feel like I've maybe done this post before, but hell, it's worth posting twice. There's nothing too earth shattering here, but I'm curious if anyone has some flicks I should add to my winter repertoire.
