The weather outside is frightful

But making it home for Christmas is quite delightful!

A reinactment of me driving down the highway.

This storm is a doozy. Up to 20 inches of snow? Too white of a Christmas for me.
Happy holidays everyone. Drive safe.

"Proof" that I graduated.

I haven't posted much lately. Between finals, graduation and starting my brand new (well sort of) big girl job it's been kind of an off month. Blah, blah, you don't care.

I assure you that I do have lots of stuff to share. So just keep holding your breath a little longer because I know you're dying to see what it is, right? Yeah, didn't think so.

Her Sunday Dress (formerly Sass and Craft) has some awesome stuff in a giveaway and it can all be yours.

Plus, she made a darn cute video to show you all the great stuff.

Ladiez nitez!

Me, along with my two best pals Cristen and Kasi, started having a ladies night each Thursday. After the last year at school, I was feeling out of touch with real life, so its been a fantastic treat.

This week Cristen and I did some shopping, followed by sushi and a bottle of wine at Wasabi downtown. My former employer opened the restaurant a few months ago, and he's doing a swell job.

After our fried banana ball dessert (Yes, our server muttered, 'How are you balls tasting,' because how can you not?), we met up with Kasi at Monte's for a drink (or two — hell, three) and a meat and cheese tray.

Cristen showed off Kasi's old man from "Up" face on her phone.

Then Kasi reenacted it for us. What a great couple of girls.

Looking for a good gift?

Angie from pangeastore's Etsy shop starting using vintage sheet music and resin in her latest jewelry designs. I think they're quite pretty.

She's a fellow Fargoan and has some really great stuff. I particularly like this locket ring.

Today is the last day you can order stuff to get it by Christmas, so hurry over there.

I have also personally been quite busy on the crafting side of my life. Christmastime always kicks me in the rear, but I usually manage to get most of my projects done. More to come on that soon ...

Countdown to graduation: T-minus four days. Wo0t.

New haircut

I started growing my hair out in April after a pretty bad self haircut. It's been a struggle because I am addicted to haircuts. Once my hair gets a certain length, I love to just start chopping away.

I got a new hairstylist this summer, and she's done a great job so far. I got my hair cut this week — just a trim — because my bangs were getting long and driving me crazy.

I love the cut, but I don't know. I'm kind of tempted to go short again.

Published finally

I just finished ordering my Blurb book for my final project in my documentary photography class. I'm really happy with the way it turned out and cannot wait to have the hard copy in hand.

I've designed other books before for weddings, etc., but never for a documentary project. I like the format for different collections and plan to use Blurb more often.

To see my book (or you can even order it for $33.95), go here.

I'm curious to see others' Blurb books if you're willing to post a link. Has anyone out there in blog land used before?

One final project down, three to go.

Dear blog friends:

Thank you for posting so many fun, entertaining items for me to waste time looking at while I should be working on final projects. Your ideas inspire me to hurry up and get done so I can go back to creating. But alas, I must get my book sent in tonight and write two more articles.

Here's looking at you, kids.

TopTenTuesday: Best Christmas albums

Kitty sings "Fa la la la la la la la la"

I'm one of those annoying people who loves Christmas. I love when stores put out Christmas stuff the day after Halloween. I love people who obnoxiously decorate their front yards. I love radio stations (despite their regular programming) that play 24-hour Christmas music.

So here they are, my favorite albums because I didn't want to narrow it down to songs.

10. Oh Blue Christmas, by A Fine Frenzy
9. A Jolly Christmas from Frank Sinatra
8. Merry Christmas, by The Ramones (OK, this is just a song)
7. Christmas with the Beach Boys
6. Elvis Christmas
5. Ella Wishes you a Merry Swinging Christmas
4. White Christmas, by Bing Crosby
3. Wishing You a Rave Christmas, by The Raveonettes
2. A Blackheart Christmas
1. A Charlie Brown Christmas

What's your favorite?
