Here it is! I spent probably 25 hours on this costume, and it turned out almost the way I wanted. Oh well, there's always next year.

Last-minute pet costume
In the past, I've been one of those people who spent $15 on a Target costume for my cat. Why? Not really sure, but when you're in the aisle, everything just seems so cute.
Mr. Friedrich von Stauffenpuss grew out of the sharky costume I bought him a few years ago.
And last night as I was finishing my costume (another post to come tonight), this costume just started taking shape.
What you need:
Men's T-shirt
Sharpie
Scissors
Cat or dog (You wouldn't necessarily need one these, but then this project would be kinda pointless)
1. Cut a sleeve off one side. Friedrich loves crafternoons.
2. Flatten the sleeve so what would normally be the top of the arm, is the back, where you use a sharpie to create a spooky creature. I drew a jack-o-lantern face. If you have a green shirt, try a witch or Frankenstein. A plain ol' white Tee? Hello, ghosty.
3. Cut arm holes. These turned out to be not quite big enough, so it may require a few dress rehearsals to get it right.
4. Friedrich loved crafternoon until he realized it was a costume for him. He's not modeling the best, but I promise he looked adorable.

MondayMust: Awesome costume links
Today's the big day. Pull out your costumes. If you're still at a loss, some of these are easy enough to whip up in an afternoon. Though most of these are intended for kids and babies, I can envision some easy adult adaptations. And if you're staying in, keep the rest of the links in mind for next year:
Adorable shark sleeping bag for baby
This super easy DIY dinosaur hoodie from Living, Loving, Learning Naturally
Deliciously delicate baby sushi costume from Craftzine
And leave it to Martha Stewart to come up with a pretty/cool/exotic/slightly creepy Medusa idea
And one so horrifying, yet amazing, that you can't look away
Those of you who follow me on Pinterest have likely seen these already, and if you don't follow me, you should so that I can return the favor and become more obsessed with that website ;)
Did you create any fun costumes this Halloween? Please share.

Paris, France
This was our very first full day of our honeymoon. We hadn't comfortably acquainted ourselves with the metro yet, so we walked to the Seine from our hotel in the Opera District. It was rainy and windy but oh so enjoyable.
This is a weekly post where I share a past Sunday. It might be decades old or maybe even just a week old.

PhotasticFriday: Family photos
My family threw my a birthday bash (I turned 28 on Tuesday) last weekend, and part of it involved a walk in the park and some photos sessions with my nieces and nephew. I can't believe how big these kidlets are getting and how much more amazing they get every time I see them.
